Below you can find my Criteria for my products, and the description of what my personal project actually was.

Criteria
For my Products
In order to determine if my product was successful or not, I have developed a set of criteria to which my products has to meet. These covered every aspect of my cakes, from the color to the shape to the dimensions to the flavor. Below you can find the criteria for my project.
Cake 1:
-Vanilla cake.
-24cm ø
-Has to include buttercream layer in the middle.
-Sides of the cake will be covered in light brown buttercream, with a light brown buttercream basketweave design.
-Top of the cake will be covered in light brown buttercream, with red and pink buttercream flower design.
-Top of the cake will also have green buttercream leaves attached to the buttercream flowers.

Cake 2:
-Lemon Cake-24cm ø
-Has to include a lemon buttercream layer in the middle
-Cake has to be covered in lemon buttercream
-Top has to be decorated with blue and purple buttercream swirls.
-Sides have to be a covered in purple buttercream with blue stripes.
Cake 3:
-Chocolate cake
-Has to have 3 floors.
-Floor 1: 24cm ø
-Floor 2: 18cm ø
-Floor 3: 12cm ø
-All floors have to be covered in dark pink fondant.
-All floors must be surrounded by white fondant draping's.
Description
Of my Project

I have researched and learned about cake decorating, and have really gone deep into it and studied what different types of decorations there are, what different techniques there are and how to make them, and about the equipment needed and where I can buy it. I have chosen to focus on the global context of "Personal and Cultural expression" for my project, because I really want to focus and learn about the aesthetic parts of decorating. What I have done is that I have studied about different kinds of styles that there are, different types of decorating techniques, and have observed which ones I like more, and which ones I like less, and based on this research I have developed my own aesthetic preferences in cake decorating. With this, my final product was to use all the knowledge and preferences I have gained in order to make and decorate 3 cakes of my own according to my personal style. Over the weeks of the taking action Phase, I have made prototypes of my cakes and developed and improved them, and finally made my final products, which resulted in 3 different decorated cakes.
